AI image reconstruction

Software that turns less raw scanner data into a usable image.

How it works

MRI and CT scanners collect raw measurements that must be mathematically reconstructed into pictures. Deep-learning models trained on many scans can reconstruct images from fewer measurements or reduce noise.

Why it matters

Shorter scans, more comfortable patients and potentially more scans per machine per day.

Limits & open questions

Models can smooth away or invent fine detail; performance must be proven on each scanner, body part and patient population, and radiologists remain responsible for interpretation.
